- The Arizona Attorney General's Office Child and Family Protection Division/Protective Services Section is seeking a Legal Secretary II to provide secretarial support for one or more Assistant Attorney Generals. This includes: preparation of all legal pleadings and documents necessary to process dependency/severance cases on behalf of the client; drafting and typing correspondence; answering inquiries from the client, court personnel and others regarding case activity and status; inputting data into and using an automated case management system to maintain and track case records and activity; independently generating legal forms needed in all types of actions; maintaining court calendar and legal deadlines; preparing documents and legal memoranda; and other projects assigned, including transcription. Duties involve reviewing, creating, and processing materials and information that are confidential pursuant to federal and state laws. Preferred candidate will have experience as a legal secretary.

- The Arizona Attorney General’s Office Public Advocacy and Civil Rights Division, Consumer Protection and Advocacy Section (Tucson) is seeking a Legal Secretary II to draft form legal pleadings and correspondence, maintain files, perform various data entry tasks, screen incoming correspondence, assign product service and violation codes to consumer complaints.

- The Pima County Attorney's Office, is seeking a Legal Secretary to provide support to the attorneys in the criminal division.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate’s degree or a certificate of completion from an accredited college or technical school as a legal secretary. OR Successful completion of course work in legal terminology or legal office procedures from an accredited school and one year of legal clerical experience involving the preparation and processing of legal documents or providing legal clerical support to an attorney. (Additional relevant education from an accredited college or technical school and/or experience may be substituted)
DUTIES: In direct support of legal functions and performs a variety of specialized legal secretarial tasks which require distinct knowledge of legal procedures, documentation and legal time constraints, and make independent decisions regarding the processing of legal documents. This classification has primary responsibility for completion of assigned tasks and functions by an attorney or paralegal.
